In consultation with Keith A. Smith, Jannie de Groot selected approximately 30 binding techniques from his Non-Adhesive Bindings series, Volumes I, II and III.
This selection has been translated into Dutch, including the original illustrations and diagrams.
Each binding technique is accompanied by a full-page photograph of a model created by a Dutch or Belgian bookbinder. Each bookbinder also shares a personal tip based on their own interpretation of the binding.
The publication is supplemented with an introduction and an extensive glossary.
