Gampi

Gampi paper is handcrafted in the Philippines from the fibers of the Abacá tree, a plant related to the banana tree and prized for its strong, lustrous fibers.
These are combined with other natural fibers, including cogon grass. The boiled bark is pulped and spread evenly with water over large scoops, sometimes with the addition of natural elements such as flower petals.
After drying in the sun, unique sheets with a vibrant texture are created.
